Meet the Staff
PI
Tatiana Foroud, PhD

Dr. Foroud is the principal investigator for the NCRAD study. She works closely with the NIH to ensure that the specific aims and goals of the NCRAD project are met. She is responsible for the oversight of the NCRAD study from the participation of families all the way to the use of samples by researchers. Dr. Foroud is the P. Michael Conneally Professor of Medical and Molecular Genetics and the Director of the Division of Hereditary Genomics at Indiana University.
Co-Investigators
Jared Brosch, MD

Dr. Brosch is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology. Dr. Brosch reviews all medical records of family members enrolled in the NCRAD Family Study and provides a diagnosis based on NINCDS-ADRDA criteria. Where appropriate, he also recommends additional research-based molecular testing that might provide a more definitive diagnosis for the individual.
Jeff Dage, Ph.D.

Jeff Dage, Ph.D., joined Indiana University School of Medicine from Eli Lilly & Co in August of 2021 as a Senior Research Professor of Neurology and Primary Member, Stark Neurosciences Research Institute. He is a NCRAD co-investigator and is the Scientific Director of the Biomarker Assay Laboratory.
Michael Edler, PhD

Dr. Edler is an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics. He is the Lab Director of the Indiana University Genetics Biobank (IUGB) in which NCRAD is housed. He provides overall direction within IUGB, including strategic planning related to new protocols, laboratory expansions, equipment purchases, and overall staffing.
Jason Meyer, PhD

Dr. Meyer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics as well as a member of the Stark Neuroscience Research Institute. In addition to running his laboratory focused upon the use of stem cells as model of neurodegenerative diseases, Dr. Meyer also leads the stem cell laboratory for NCRAD. He developed the protocols for the expansion of stem cell lines for distribution as well as the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the quality review of expanded cell lines prior to distribution.
Kelly Nudelman, PhD

Dr. Nudelman is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics. Dr. Nudelman co-leads the in-house DNA SNP fingerprinting efforts for the biorepository, facilitates the NCRAD Biospecimen Review Committee, and provides scientific support for NCRAD studies.
Adrian Oblak, PhD

Dr. Oblak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences as well as a member of the Stark Neuroscience Research Institute. Dr. Oblak leads efforts related to the receipt, preparation and distribution of brain tissue for NCRAD.
Stephane Pelletier, PhD

Dr. Pelletier is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics and is the Director of the Gene Editing Core. He leads efforts to utilize CRISPR to generate isogenic (corrected) lines for specific ADRD-related mutations.
Kristen Russ, Ph.D.

Kristen Russ, Ph.D., has been with Indiana University School of Medicine since August 2018. In 2021, she joined NCRAD as an Assistant Research Professor of Medical and Molecular Genetics. She is a NCRAD co-investigator and the Biomarker Assay Laboratory Director.
Staff
Rose Case, BS, CCRP

Rose Case, BS, CCRP has been with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since February of 2016. Rose serves as a project manager of sample distributions for the department. She coordinates distributions of requested samples from the initial approval to the final sample shipment.

Kelley Faber, MS, CCRC

Kelley Faber, MS, CCRC has been with NCRAD since June 2006 and serves as the Senior Project Manager for the repository. Kelley monitors clinical data and biological specimens for all studies banked in NCRAD. She also completes NIH reporting and works closely with the investigators requesting samples for their research.

Kaci Lacy, MPH, CCRP

Kaci Lacy, MPH, CCRP, has been with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since 2016, and now serves as a NCRAD Project Manager. She graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Biology, and received her MPH in Epidemiology from IUPUI. Kaci’s duties include overseeing NCRAD Clinical Research Coordinators, assisting in study budget development, and data validation and reporting.

Casey Snoddy, BS, CCRP

Casey Snoddy, BS, CCRP, has been with IU School of Medicine since 2018, she joined the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics in May of 2021 and serves as a Project Manager for the repository. She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a BS in Health Sciences. Her duties include coordinating studies within NCRAD, data validation, and working with study sites to ensure efficiency. Casey oversees the clinical research staff, IRB compliance, and monitors the biological specimens for all studies banked in NCRAD.

Jessica Anders, BS

Jessica Anders has been with NCRAD since April 2022 and serves as a Clinical Research Specialist. Jessica has been in the clinical research field for 5 years, starting with pediatric diabetology/endocrinology then wound care research before joining the NCRAD team. Jessica’s duties include data entry, kit preparation, and data validation.

Erin Delaney, AS, CCRP

Erin Delaney, AS, CCRP, joined NCRAD in 2022 and serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Prior to joining NCRAD, Erin coordinated multiple studies in neurosurgical research at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine. Having a strong interest in neuroscience, she is committed to education and contributing to the research community. She is currently coordinating the PACT study, Benfotiamine, MCS and PDLB.

Jazmyn Dickinson, BS

Jazmyn Dickinson, BS, joined the NCRAD team in March 2022, though she has been with Indiana University School of Medicine since December 2019. She graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in Molecular Biology and a minor in Psychology. Jazmyn’s primary duties include kit preparation, data validation, and data entry.

Abigail Erickson, BS, CCRP

Abigail (Abby) Erickson, BS, CCRP, has been with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since 2020. She graduated from IU earlier in 2020 with a BS in biology of disease and minors in chemistry and French. Abby has been working as a Clinical Research Coordinator with NCRAD since the fall of 2022. Her duties include coordinating studies within NCRAD focusing on the LEADS, AD-FBS, NAPS and NAPS2, and DIAN studies.

Eugenio Garcia, BS, joined NCRAD in June 2022 and is currently a Clinical Research Technician. Graduating from IU Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology he hopes to increase his knowledge in the Clinical Research Field. Eugenio’s duties are data entry and kit preparation.

Mica Gosnell, MA

Mica Gosnell, MS, has been with NCRAD since November 2021 and serves as a Clinical Research Specialist. She graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Biology and received a Master’s degree in Medical Science from Indiana University School of Medicine. Mica’s duties include data entry, kit preparation, and data validation.

Kelly Horner, BGS

Kelly Horner, BGS has been with NCRAD since 2002 and the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since 1990. Kelly serves as a research coordinator for the repository and her roles include autopsy planning, cognitive testing, sample accessioning and maintaining contact with NCRAD participants. She also organizes the newsletter.

Erica Housley, AGS

Erica Housley, AGS has been with NCRAD since September 2022 and serves as a Clinical Research Technician. Erica has over 10 years of medical experience and is confident that her years of experience will help increase her knowledge in Research. Erica’s primary duties are data entry, data validation and kit preparation.

Diont’e Keys, BS, CCRP

Diont’e Keys, BS, CCRP, joined NCRAD in May 2021. He graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a BS in biology and a minor in Spanish while playing football and running track. He has a diverse and well-rounded background in clinical research which he applies to his current role that involves coordinating clinical trials within NCRAD and training site personnel on the study protocol. He is currently working as the Clinical Research Coordinator for the Alzheimer's Gut Microbiome Project, T2 OLE, VIVA MIND, HEAD, and the ACE study.

Corinne Kim, MA, CCRC

Corinne Kim, MA, CCRC, joined NCRAD in 2021 and serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator. She has a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Alliant International University and a BA in art from UCLA. She has worked in clinical research since 2014, previously coordinating studies at the Scripps Research Institute. Her current duties include coordinating studies within NCRAD focusing on the ALLFTD, 4RTNI-2, HALS, PSDC, and SAL-AD studies.

Jeanine Marshall, MPH, CCRC

Jeanine Marshall, MPH, CCRP, joined NCRAD in 2016, but has been with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since 2000. Jeanine serves as a research coordinator for the Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Project (iPSC) and the Amyloid Neuroimaging and Genetics Initiative Study (ANGI). Jeanine’s duties include activities to facilitate receipt and distribution of iPSCs, collaborating with investigators, data collection and reporting, regulatory documentation, and research participant communication.

Zoë Potter, BA, CCRP

Zoë Potter, BA, CCRP, has been with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since August of 2015. She graduated from IUPUI in 2019 with a BA in Psychology. Zoë’s duties include coordinating studies within NCRAD, data validation and reporting, and working directly with study sites in training and problem resolution. She currently focuses on the ADNI, ACAD, ABC-DS, NiAD, ADDS, and LIFE-DSR studies.

Clairisa Stayton, BS

Clairisa Stayton, BS, has been with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since June of 2017. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2015 with a BS in Biology. Clairisa’s duties include coordinating sample transfers and distributions from closed studies as well as the Biomarker Assay Laboratory, assisting in study budget development, and data reporting.

Stephanie Steidel, MS

Stephanie Steidel, MS, joined the NCRAD team November 2021 and serves as a Clinical Research Coordinator. She has a Master’s degree in molecular biology from Loyola University Chicago. She has been with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since August 2018 and previously managed sample distribution for the Indiana University Genetics Biobank. Her current duties include coordinating the ADRC collections as well as the APOE, BBBSR, BIFB, Citalopram, DMDC, and WRAP studies.

Ronae Williams, BA

Ronae D. Williams, BA recently joined the NCRAD team June of 2021, though she has been with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics since 2013. Ronae is a Clinical Research Specialist whose primary duties include preparing of collection kits, data entry, and data validation. She currently focuses on ADCFB, ADC, APOE, BBBSR, BIFB, and WRAP studies.
